Step 20 – DC-In Board Take away the two Phillips screwssecuring the DC-In board,removing tape as necessary.
Step 21 Deroute the cable from across the optical drive, eradicating tape as necessary.Disconnect the DC-In cable from the logic board and angle the DC-In board out of itscompartment.
Step 22 – Upper Case Remove the 2 3 mm Phillipsscrews contained in the left fringe of thebattery tray.
Step 23 We recommend inserting thecomputer on a smooth clothfrom this point on to preventdamaging the logic board.Turn over the computer and openit.Use the flat side of a flatheadscrewdriver to remove the smallmagnet masking a screw close to themiddle of the computer.
Step 24 Take away the following 7 screwsfrom the edges of the keyboardarea.Three 2 mm Phillips along theright edge.One 4.5 mm Phillips underneathwhere the magnet was.One 6 mm Phillips with a smallhead in the decrease left corner.Two 6 mm Phillips with largeheads, one within the upper leftcorner and one within the middle.
Step 25 Before you possibly can yank theupper case off, you mustdisconnect the trackpad connector,the blue and white power cable,and speaker cable as described inthe subsequent steps. Step 31 Use a spudger to pry up the ReedSwitch Board from the opticaldrive, removing tape as necessary.
Step 32 This can be a diagram of theribbon clamp connector youwill disconnect within the subsequent step.1) With your fingernails, grasp thelocking bar on either aspect and pullup a small quantity (about 1/sixteen” or 2mm).2) After disengaging the lockingbar, slide the cable out of theconnector.
Step 33 Release the optical drive ribbonclamp as described above. Slidethe optical drive ribbon out of itsconnector.
Step 34 Carry the optical drive from the metalframework.
