Step 1 – Decrease Case Remove the following 10 screwssecuring the lower case to theMacBook Professional 13″ Unibody:Seven 3 mm Phillips screws.Three 13.5 mm Phillips screws.
Step 2 Slightly lift the decrease case and pushit toward the rear of the computerto free the mounting tabs.

Step three – Battery For precautionary purposes,we advise that youdisconnect the battery connectorfrom the logic board to avoid anyelectrical discharge. This step isoptional and is not required.Use the flat end of a spudger to liftthe battery connector up out of itssocket on the logic board.
Step 4 – Display Use the flat finish of a spudger to prythe subwoofer/proper speaker cableconnector up off its socket on thelogic board.

Step 5 Disconnect the camera cable bypulling the male end straight awayfrom its socket.There’s a small piece ofhard plastic caught to thelogic board that stops thecamera cable from falling out ofits socket. Remember to peel thisoff first or you possibly can injury theconnectors.Be sure that to tug theconnector parallel to theface of the logic board and towardthe optical drive, not straight upfrom its socket.
Step 6 De-route the digicam information cablefrom the channel in the opticaldrive.

Step 7 Remove the next screws securing the digicam data cable and proper speaker to theupper case:Two 8 mm Phillips screws.One 4mm Phillips screw.One of the 8 mm Phillips screws will probably remain captive in the digicam cableground loop.Slide the digicam cable bracket out from below the subwoofer and remove it from thecomputer.

Step 12 Make sure to hold the displayand upper case togetherwith your left hand. Failure to do somay cause the freed show/uppercase to fall, potentially damagingeach component.Take away the last remaining 6 mmT6 Torx screw securing the displayto the higher case.
Step thirteen Seize the upper case with your right hand and rotate it barely toward the top of the displayso the upper display bracket clears the edge of the higher case.Rotate the show slightly away from the higher case.

Step 14 Carry the display up and away fromthe upper case, minding anybrackets or cables that may getcaught.
Step 15 – Clutch Cover Grab the clutch cowl as shown and slide it toward the right aspect of the display.It ought to move about 1/four” and stop. Do not drive it past this point.

Step 16 Gently rock the clutch cowl back and forth on its lengthy axis whereas pulling it away from thedisplay.Do this action alongside the size of the clutch cover until you may elevate it off the frameworkattaching it to the display.
